On Sunday August 2nd one of the biggest Holy Days for Macedonians was observed at our church, St. Elijah’s Day – ILINDEN, the Macedonian National and Religious Holiday.   It was a wonderful feeling to be among the worshipers in our Holy Church on this day. Many worshipers came and bowed their heads in front of St. Elijah and prayed for their good bodily health and spiritual salvation. During Liturgy the Ilinden message was read from the Holy Synod of the Macedonian Orthodox Church from Macedonia to all of her believing children throughout the world. Many worshipers received Holy Communion on this great and holy day. After Liturgy a big luncheon was prepared by the Womens’ Auxiliary for everyone.  May the Lord let us celebrate this great holy day for many more years!
