On Saturday at midnight and Sunday for the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, celebrations for the holiday of holidays for us Orthodox faithful at our church began.  First there was the procession of circling of the church three times, afterwards the Midnight Resurrection Matins lead by his Eminence, Metropoitan Metodij.

On Easter Sunday Holy Archierarchal Divine Liturgy was lead by his Eminence, Metropolitan Metodij of our American-Canadian Macedonian Orthodox Diocese.  Metropolitan Metodij wished all of our parishoners a Happy Easter with our traditional Easter greeting – Christ is Risen!!  During Divine Liturgy a large number of our parishoners received Holy Communion with the body and blood of Christ.  Our church choir together with the children who attend religious classes every Friday sang like angels the hymn - Christ is risen from the dead, by death He has trampled down death, and on those in the tombs He has bestowed life.  At the end of Liturgy, the Easter message was read which was sent by the Holy Synod of the Macedonian Orthodox Church to all the faithful in Macedonia and the diaspora.  Afterwards in our fellowship hall a big Easter lunch was served for all parishoners prepared by our Ladies Auxillary group at our church.
